Parafinski vosek je namenjen izdelavi sveč. Vosek topimo v vodni kopeli pri 56°C. Parafinskemu vosku dodamo stearin v razmerju del stearina na 10 delov voska. Če želimo vosek obarvati, mu v procesu topljenja dodamo za to namenjena barvila. Stopljeni vosek vlijemo v kalup za sveče, namestimo tudi stenj.
